Which #website do you trust the most for #reviews of #doctors, #dentists and other #healthcare professionals? ?
That’s the question we posed patients in our latest Twitter poll.
Why ask which website a patient trusts most for reviews of doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals?
Simple: reviews matter.
There’s no denying the fact that patients will continue to use doctor review websites in the process of finding, evaluating and selecting a provider.
Given their prominence and weight in the process, having a better understanding of which websites patient’s trust the most reviews can help practices and providers best focus their efforts.
Now, thanks to Twitter, we’ve got a better idea as to who patient’s trust the most when it comes to doctor reviews.

Google: The most trusted name in patient reviews
In total, over 787 US Twitter users voted and they were clear on who they trusted most.
The big G. In a landslide.
Over 58% of those polled said they trusted Google reviews of doctors, dentists and other health care providers.
This is surprising on many levels and given that HealthGrades focuses on provider reviews, speaks volume about the importance of what patients see when they “Google you.”
How can your health or medical practice take advantage of these results?
Two things:
One, make sure you have claimed and enhanced your Google My Business profile.
Two, implement a reputation management program that includes automated patient review solicitations via email and or text message.
Doing these two things – claiming your profile and increasing the number of positive reviews on it – will allow you to benefit from the trust patient’s place in Google.
They’ll help your search rankings too.
